Time Flies
Goodness, Time Flies. I have survived the last 18 moths and now am finally finishing this journey. There have been many times when I didn't think I could pull this off and wondered just what I was thinking.
In the middle of all the assignments, tests, studying, and completing activities, I had a daughter get married and another have a baby. The third one entered the U.S. Air Force and completed her basic and tech school. She is AF Reserve - Security Forces. My husband kept me sane and well fed.
I had just changed jobs at the beginning of this program....from Curriculum Coach to Teacher for Dyslexia and ESL. This past fall my principal took a chance on me and I became a new Asst. Principal on my campus. It has been crazy and fast paced - even for this ADHD midlife grandmother - but I have loved every minute of it. I firmly believe God has a plan for each of us. I would have never dreamed 30 years ago where I would be today, Wow! What a ride.
Education continues to evolve and dramatically change. Here are some thoughts that keep me focused and running in the right direction:
* I learned a long time ago to roll with the flow.
* Change what you can, and accept what you can't.
* I choose to laugh and enjoy each day and all the adventures and learning curves before me.
* I choose to lift my eyes to an altitude that can rearrange my attitude.
* You have to focus on where you want to go. Focus determines direction.
As I near another accomplishment, I can't wait to see what lies ahead. For just a bit though, I will enjoy sitting on my patio in the early morning, sipping coffee and enjoying the world around me.
